Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

North Container Summit ("NCS", "we", "us") is a community and event initiative operated by Conway Container Services SIA, a company registered in Latvia (reg. no. 40203131241), Riga, Latvia, EU.

2. What data we collect

• Form submissions: name, work email, company, role, interests - when you ask to join the community or request a meetup seat.
• Technical data: user-agent, IP-derived approximate region, timestamp - for security and abuse prevention.
• Communication: messages you send to hello@ncs.community or press@ncs.community.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-site behavioural pixels, or sell data.

3. Why we use it (lawful basis)

• Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) - when you submit the waitlist form.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) - keeping the site secure, preventing spam, replying to your message.
• Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) - if you buy a ticket or sponsorship package.

4. Who sees the data

Only NCS organisers, Conway's commercial team, and trusted infrastructure providers:

• Railway (EU region hosting)
• Cloudflare (DNS + CDN)
• Email delivery provider for transactional emails

No data is transferred outside the EU/EEA without GDPR-appropriate safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

Waitlist signups: until you ask us to delete them, or 36 months of inactivity.

Server access logs: max 30 days.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you may ask us to:

• Confirm whether we hold data about you and give you a copy
• Correct or update inaccurate data
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict or object to processing
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv)

Email privacy@ncs.community and we reply within 30 days.

7. Cookies

ncs.community uses only essential cookies required to make the site work (session, security). No analytics or advertising cookies are set by default. If we add analytics in the future, you will see a consent banner first.

8. Changes

We update this policy when we change how we handle data. The "Last updated" date at the top changes too. Material changes will also be announced via email to subscribed users.
